i paid for the "crazy dave's lost wallet" on, which is 0.99 which you would get 100,00 coins. i paid, but then the app wouldn't respond. after closing the app and reopening it, i found that the 100,00 coins had not been added to my balance, and after checking my account balance for google play, it shows that i did pay the 99 cents, but i did not get what i paid for. so when it comes down to it, i just lost my money. very unsatisfied/upsetting. warning, dont buy anything, its not worth the risk!!
i used to play this game all the time and i downloaded again just cuz. when i saw the new update i thought cool so now you can play any level you want that was wrong. if you go back to an older level it brings you back to that point of the game thus deleting where you were which makes no sense cuz what's the point then. i mean going back to an older level serves no purpose whatsoever. i mean i love this game don't get me wrong but why add something like that? is it just there to look good?

i love this game. it is the best free tower defense games out there, but there are ads in every direction, and it's a shame that the snow pea in pvz2 costs more then this game on steam. i hate ea and i hope they aren't in it for the money when making/buying games.
i love it. i relate to miabell but you shouldn't reach out to ea you should reach out to the original creators which is popcap. i had a older phone with a loose battery.the battery makes the phone work. anyways i lost my progress but i have pvz2 progress still.
a lot of ads most short but still love playing this game. have not tried p v z 2 but please make a trilogy of these games.
popcap's award-winning game that we've all known and loved since childhood, on mobile, and free? heck yeah! personally, i see no reason to give this a bad rating. yes, there's one too many ads, but hey, worth it for a quality, free game. perhaps more coins should be given for watching videos however? it is kinda hard to get coins without paying for them... still, however, there's nothing to make me change my mind. it's lovely, fun, and you'll have a guaranteed great time.
fun. i love this game, i have played when i was younger and have been obessed since. everything about this game is almost perfect. the only issue now is; i downloaded this on my chromebook from the google play store (here) and when i reached level 4 on the pool area, it closes the app and will not let me play. i wish to have this fixed so i can keep playing! thank you for your service.

loved this game until the latest update ruined it. i loved the classic version of the game, that's why i chose this version over pvz2. hate the updated look. and for some reason the game is distorted on my phone screen, i can hardly stand to look at it. and i can't even read any of the game messages, why are they so small!? had to take a screen shot and zoom in to read them. perfectly good game... wrecked! uninstalled.
i love pvz its a classic game however, there is so many bugs and so many things missing. from achievements in the original game missing, to bugs with the music and sounds itself. whenever an ad plays afterwards the music settings in options will be off. causing you to have to turn music on than off than on again. there is so many more bugs that makes the game almost lose its charm. please fix these!

i loved this game on the computer. however, on my phone, there are literally ads before and after each level and when you got certain objects like the rake to watch a video to get a rake, it either has had ads or it kicks me back to the home screen or the play store. my internet is great and this is a new phone, so all i can say is, make the game the way it was on the computer; take some of the ads out. the ads were so annoying, i don't want to play any of the games advertised or this one.
this might be a bit controversial but i've read some of the other reviews so i think most people agree with me that this is kind of a true insult to the original game like they change the design of the zombies which is fine but i would rather the old one and they changed just the general look of everything and now that there's ads in it that just makes it even worse like it used to be free and there was no ads like it makes sense for mobile, like come-on ea cut us some slack
garbage the game was using a ton of data by downloading apps onto my phone thru mobile services manager without my permission, when i disabled that my days of game progress disappeared. if you want to play turn off mobile services manager first, it's an app predownloaded in your phone- acts as a paid service by your carrier to push installs and updates of proprietary apps

5 stars for the gameplay. 2 for the interruptions that can't be skipped. i can't even quit to the main menu without an unskipable ad. it's pretty ridiculous.
i bought a pay version of this game and now that version will not work and this "free" version wants me to pay to remove ads. how do i go about getting a refund for my original purchase?
i used to play this game with my little sister on my xbox. there were no ads, all the minigames were unlocked, we got the rake every level, i think you understand what i'm getting at. because ea owns popcap, there are now ads everywhere and in-app purchases that ruins the fun of the game itself. want coins without playing the game you downloaded? give us money. 3/5

just like the desktop version and that would've rated it a 5 star, but thanks to the ads, it gets 2 stars. i get ads generate revenue, but after each level, switching screens, starting the game, exiting the game ... it's excessive. more than half of the ads can't be stopped after a 5 second delay, either, so you are stuck watching the whole 20 -30 second ad no matter how distasteful that ad is. i've uninstalled, and btw i never clicked on or downloaded any of the content advertised.
i saw all my progress disappear right before my eyes. yesterday i beat adventure mode 1. today i started the game and noticed that my progress was at night level4. thinking it was a sync issue i closed the app and restared it. when it loaded again everything was gone. no progress, no zen garden, everything gone. ea is a terrible company, doesn't care about their games or players.

love this game... and u need to leave the earning sun.points for next level so we don't have to start over... cause the cost of each items takes a while to earn the sun to plant them...i am on 3-1 and zombie in pool it's hard to get cherry bomb takes forever. i played this game long ago and realized i had to start all over...as got new phone...can u think about fixing the sun earning points? thx
ads are one thing, but these are long and extra annoying videos and not always clear on how to close them and get back to the game. it's also a fn huge data hog. presumably because of the long video ads between level's. airplane mode does help with this but that shouldn't be the solution. the game itself is great and what i remembered from years ago. but the ads and data consumption bring my rating down
the game is fine unless you have kids and you don't want them to swe vulgar sexual ads on the games. i don't know who allows such ads, but no more pvz for us.

the game itself is what you expect - extremely nostalgic and fun to play. i had finished adventure mode, unlocked every single mini-game and bought every plant only for me to log in one day and find everything gone. it seems there isn't a way to retrieve all the data back as well as restore purchases so i'm simply calling it a day and choosing to delete the game. thanks
seems a lot of people are having different issues. mine shuts down when i attempt to do the fog survival level. and that's after losing all my progress because before i'd already unlocked all the survival levels, now i can't get past the fog one cause it won't let me play it

i have had pvz for 10 years now. i loved this game and played it faithfully. but this new updated 'version' is awful. i don't care for it at all. the elongated screen is undesireable and honestly makes the game more "squished". i seriously dislike this version and long for the original to come back. at least give the option to install the original version. you have done many updates to the app over the years and kept the original format. what happened this time? i'm ready to ditch this game.

plants vs. zombies, my absolute favorite tower defense game. pvz is an incredible game with incredible graphics, addictive gameplay and sensational music. so, why the low rating? ea. this version of pvz just feels alien to me, it's not the game i grew up with, it's not the game other people and i remember. microtransactions, ads, they hurt the game. i'm fine with an ad, but not when the ad breaks the game's incredible music. one ad, and the entire app lost its music. it's wrong. ea, is wrong...

can't play the survival mode if the plants aren't interchangeable after the waves. the plants get stuck and can't be switched out. please fix this bug to make the game more enjoyable.
should be renamed plants vs ads!!!!! sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many ads!!! every time you pass a level, hit the main menu button, the back button, or change any screen there is an ad and most of the time you can't back out of the ad or close it. this game has sooooooooooo many ads in it. other than all the ads it's a good game except you can't play previous levels without losing your progress and starting one like the first time you played it.
